Nuclear Disaster at Fukushima Daiichi: Social, Political and Environmental Issues edited by Richard Hindmarsh is out now. Atsuro Morita, Anders Blok and Shuhei Kimura contributed a chapter on the civic effort to construct radiation monitoring map using the Google Map service. The chapter discuss the emergent relations among open access internet tools, the existing radiation monitoring infrastructure and the civic intervention to scientific affairs in the extreme situation.
